Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

• Aware of jobs and digital skills required in the current and future digital economy, with specific focus on Ge nAI applications in tourism and hospitality.
• Understand of workplace cybersecurity and responsible AI usage in tourism environments.
• Able to drive digital automation applications and effectively utilise Gen AI tools (such as chatGPT, Gemini, Co-pilot, and Envoy by Voltade) for guest experiences, booking optimisation, and travel recommendations through proper prompt design.
• Understand and apply effective prompt design for Generative AI while ensuring responsible use and identifying risks such as bias or misinformation.
• Able to transform tourism data into insights using analytics tools, dashboards, and Gen AI-assisted analysis.
• Able to navigate the SkillsFuture portal for tourism-specific online tools, courses and career options.
• Able to develop an action plan to upgrade and upskill yourself in both traditional tourism digital skills and emerging Gen AI technologies.
• Aware of new technology, such as AR, and its integration with Gen AI in creating immersive tourism experiences.

Minimum Entry Requirement

Candidates should meet the following entry requirements:

• 16 years and above
• No formal qualification
• Able to speak, listen, read, and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills WSQ Level 4 Workplace Literacy (WPL)
• Able to manage calculations at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills WSQ Level 4 Workplace Numeracy (WPN)
• Possess foundational digital literacy skills required at the workplace

Online Assessment (Tests)

The following assessment will be held at the end of the course:

• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) - 10 Questions with 4 options each - 30 Mins
• Short Answer Questions (SAQ) - 5 Questions - 30 Mins
